From my workshop just above Abbotsbury in Dorset, I design and make contemporary furniture. Working mainly to commission I
aim to create pieces of exceptional quality, distinctive design and unique to you. My love and understanding of wood came from my father who made and restored much of our furniture at home and although he had a low tolerance to inquisitive children with hammers I‘m sure his skill and enthusiasm have been passed safely down.
Although I have been making furniture for over thirty years I'm new to Dorset (2016) and still finding my feet here. My workshop near Gorwell Farm was, as its name suggests, the dairy, and took many months of hard work to turn it into a viable workplace. The Dairy Buildings now boasts a small and dust free showroom with views into my machine room allowing visitors to sit in comfort.
Examples of my work can also be seen in Dansel Gallery a privately owned gallery in Abbotsbury selling wooden items from over 200 British craftsmen and women. Well worth a visit if you are in the area!.
